Job Description
College Tutors of Edina is seeking role model homework help tutors for 6th-10th grade students for the 2024/25 school year! This position provides you with the opportunity to mentor and tutor several students throughout the week and develop tutoring and teaching skills while making a difference!
+ You set your schedule (5-10 hours per week) within the hours of 3-9pm Monday-Thursday and 9am-9pm on Saturdays and Sundays
Job Responsibilities:
+ Assist students with homework in math (through algebra 2), reading/writing, general homework help and organizational skills.
+ Act as a role model and mentor to students that you tutor towards academic success.
Qualifications:
+ Ability to tutor most middle school and early high school subject areas: math (algebra 1, geometry or algebra 2), science (physical science or higher), reading/writing, history.
+ Minimum GPA of 3.5.
+ Good study habits and organizational skills as evidenced by college transcripts
+ Previous tutoring experience is ideal but not required!
+ It is not required that you are a current college student for our tutoring positions.
Pay starts at $21 and hour for virtual sessions and $26 an hour for in person sessions. In person tutoring is not required for this position. Now offering a Tuition Reimbursement Program!
