    Proposal Content Editor

    Location: This position will work a hybrid model (remote and office). Ideal candidates will live within 50 miles of one of our PulsePoint locations.

    The Proposal Content Editor w ill be responsible for style guide, copy editing, and One Voice editing, including developing alternate content and modification of current content to incorporate compelling win themes developed in accordance with customer goals where necessary to effectively frame proposal. Reviews and edit's graphics, pictures, tables, and develops action captions to align proposal sections across various writers and writing styles, ensuring a seamless response for the customer. Responsible for providing proofreading and copy-editing support for Carelon business development/proposal writing team with complex materials in addition to helping establish guidelines and educating staff.

    How you will make an impact:

    • Ensures accuracy of materials produced by writing team and compliance with Corporate, Brand, Legal and Plain Language guidelines.
    • Effects changes to written work and provides copy editing support in addition to proofreading high-profile design and copywriting projects.
    • Helps establish guidelines by recommending updates to the Corporate, Brand, Legal and Plain Language guidelines.
    • Educates internal and external writers and designers on updates to the Corporate, Brand, Legal and Plain Language guidelines.
    • Maintains strict adherence to marketing/production deadlines and provides final sign-off on projects at file release stage to ensure accuracy.
    • Identifies, recommends, and facilitates improvement/efficiencies that support operational excellence.
    • Provides guidance and mentors other proofreaders and writers.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Requires a BA/BS in Communications, Journalism or a related field and minimum of 3 years professional proofreading experience; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

    Preferred Skills, Capabilities and Experiences:

    • Experience in healthcare, insurance or managed care preferred.
    • Strong written communication skills and a solid command of the English language strongly preferred.
    • Working knowledge of Associate Press style guidelines preferred.
    • Excellent time management and work prioritization.
