Job Description

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for the supervision of the completion of the work schedules including the coordination of the necessary staff, services, and materials to meet strategic deliverables and project targets. Responsible for the compliance of the assigned company budget, quality standards, schedules, compliance with safety and internal policies. This position should track and achieve the optimum balance between the completion of work schedules and compliance with internal regulations while all necessary implementation of processes.

Job Description:
  • Supervise the assigned staff through their direct report and monitor that the assigned division meets the department's needs to achieve goals.
  • Mentor and lead direct reports to ensure an effective team that executes the daily activities of the assigned work.
  • Initiates process improvements, changes to standards, or recommendations in the daily work as required.
  • Create and monitor consolidated business metrics to ensure targets are met and identify trends and issues.
  • Responsible for guidance, setup, coordination, administration & monitoring of service requests, including executed contracts, and resolving conflicts with vendors.
  • Lead the administration of any coordination of service without delay and keep track of compliance of contract deadlines or expirations dates so that if they are not met, the necessary actions can be taken to comply with Departmental Goals.
  • Lead meetings, presentations, and training regarding implementation of processes that facilitates coordination, data collection and preparation of KPI reports of all applicable services including its procurement processes.
  • Provide solutions to trends affecting the division's goals and offer the necessary training to the assigned division to improve metrics.
  • Optimizes the use of resources across the group and liaisons with the other Logistics Groups to ensure operational and strategic targets can be met.
  • Provides visible leadership to ensure compliance with the corporate policies and best practices related to Health, Safety and Environment.
  • Works with assigned staff to ensure all employees have career development plans, clearly explained goals, targets are being met, and that all strategic areas within the group are fully integrated.
  • Managing and maintaining productive and respectful relationships with all staff assigned, Manager and within and external to LUMA. Complete records for all services/materials coordinated.
  • Partner and collaborate with other departments within Materials Management, Logistics, Procurement, Project Management among others in LUMA. Collaborates with co-workers, management, suppliers, and customers.
  • Provide input to the budgeting, planning, and operational activities within the Capital Division.
  • Support the execution and coordination of the Emergency Response construction activities for the assigned division, including being available to respond to emergency after hours callouts.
  • Follows all policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Perform major storm restoration work and associated drills as assigned - Follow all policies and procedures.

Additional Job Description:

Education and experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field from an accredited college.
  • 7 years of experience in data analysis, research, compilation, and/or reporting work preferably in a utility environment or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in a lead/supervisory role is highly desired.
  • Experience with Electric Utility operations and / or large, complex organizations, leadership responsibilities, purchasing process for federally funded projects or government contracts is highly desirable.
  • Experience with database management, reporting and compliance.
  • Contract management or Supply Chain Management training and experience would be considered an asset.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to negotiate and build relationships with vendors.
  • Proven ability to manage and resolve conflict.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong skills in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), data analysis, as well as experience with ERP and File Sharing technology.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, interpersonal and leadership skills. Assertive and ability to deal with difficult and demanding customers.
  • Good communication skills with team members, internal partners (Procurement, Security, Project Management, Contract Management, HSEQSQ, etc.), consultants, contractors, and other vendors.
  • Attention to detail; accurate, thorough, and proficient organizational and time management skills.
  • Fluent in in Spanish and English with the ability to read, write and speak.
